Alouette Gentille Alouette
That song, that song that has been playing in my head over and over the last week.
Alouette gentille Alouette
Alouette je te plumerai
Je te plumerai la tete
Et la tete, et la tete
Alouette, Alouette
Do you know that it's a children's song about plucking feathers from a lark? Yes Alouette means A bird or lark. But I admit Target you did it again, I want color. Where was my head being jealous over a neutral palette. I am an artist,I love color.... I think being bold with color takes a lot more knowledge that sticking to beige. So to the top designers who are not afraid to use shocking pink, orange or periwinkle, I love you.........

Designer Jealousy
I am usually pretty secure, but after seeing the rooms of designer Tiffany Eastman in New England's Home magazine I wanted to ransack, trash, rip, destroy, crumble any room I ever added color to. Her look is so contemporary but right at home in Historic Greenwich. The rooms all have such a calm feel and not the least bit cold. How do you do that with all the blues and gray??? How many shades of blue are in the living room anyway
Using just a few large pieces of art helps to keep it calm, I like that.
I am checking out that cornice. It takes guts to do a white cornice on white walls, at least for me it does. Just love the nailheads.
I know the walls here are venetian plaster, I was a little tired of this look till now.
I want the upholstered headboard, I want the zebra rug, I want the lucite table, I want, I want, I want.
I think the shelves are accessorized just perfect. I can see this bedroom in any one of my sea side homes, or even mine.
I would never leave a mess if this were my bath.
Charcoal gray is just right to show off art. I would use Benjamin Moore Matt finish Deep Space 2125-20
I think I might have to add two porcelain blue kidney pillows to the above chairs, just can't help myself.
